Scott County, the fastest growing area of the state and home of Georgetown, the state’s 7th largest city, enjoyed a blistering real estate market in January 2020, particularly as compared with January 2019.
- Sales were up an astonishing 63% from 43 to 70 (and 22 of those were moving from out of the county).
- New listings were up 20% from 87 to 104.
- Total inventory was 237, representing just 3.4 months of inventory versus 6.1 in January 2019.
- While the average sales price was down 8% from $253,578 to $233,720.
- Average days on market dropped 28% from 80 to 58 days.
