KHORISTORIA: The Story of the Yale Russian Chorus is a feature-length documentary written, produced, and directed by Catherine Mattingly. What started as an exploration of digital video production turned into a powerful story about Denis Mickiewicz, a charismatic immigrant, the Ivy League students who followed him over decades, and the extraordinary music they preserved and performed, told against a fascinating backdrop of Cold War history. KHORISTORIA screened at multiple national and international film festivals, shortlisted for a national PBS broadcast, and licensed for public broadcast in Finland. It has a home in academic and public libraries across the country and is treasured by alumni of the Yale Russian Chorus.
