Work With Me

In addition to all the things I am doing to fulfill my own mission, I enjoy consulting with like-minded folks to help them bring their visions to fruition. I am not an agency. I’m an intuitive empath with a gift for listening to what people say they want, seeing solutions, and breaking down the work. I’ve worked with leading legal, government and business entities, but these days I enjoy working with equine and equine-adjacent organizations and individuals.

My bandwidth is limited, so I will only take on a project if I think I can add significant value relatively quickly. Many clients find they can get their questions answered and go forward on their own after a single consulting session. Here are some of the things I can help with:

  • Decision-making. One of my most popular sessions is “If I Were the Boss of You,” where I listen to your ideas and tell you what I would do if I were the boss of you. Your response to my response is the answer! Either you agree with me and feel validated and comfortable moving forward. Or you disagree with me, in which case you have clarity about what you don’t want to do and feel comfortable moving forward. This is not just for businesses! I’ve helped people figure out whether or not to change jobs, move houses, stay in relationships as well as whether to start a new business or add a new service.
  • Ideation. One of the activities I enjoy most in life is ideating, on my own or with my stakeholders. I’m at my best when I’ve got my whiteboards (or giant Post It posters) lined up around the room and piles of markers to capture ideas. I’ve seen this process yield amazing results, including national ad slogans and feature-function improvements to multimillion dollar products. While I use my process to help businesses make decisions, I also use it to help friends plan milestone events like anniversaries and birthdays. I’ve been accused of being the “good idea fairy,” but at the ideation stage, I think it’s important to think big and not get bogged down with restrictions. I can do this with you or with your team, in person or virtually.
  • Clarity. Sometimes the problem isn’t a lack of ideas. Sometimes there are too many good ideas. I have a gift for seeing the bigger picture as well as connections others might miss. I am often called in to help businesses clarify their product offerings.
  • Vision, strategy, planning. I’ve had executive education training from Stanford University and the University of Virginia as well as significant experience in vision, strategy and planning. I love to apply my skills in this area to annual planning for people (including myself!) and organizations.
  • Product suite review, user experience, product design, implementation plans. I’ve helped with websites, Facebook pages, podcasts, courses, events. I have a knack for user experience. I am not a coder or a graphic designer, but if you don’t have your own people, I can connect you with people who do those things.
  • Continuous improvement. I’m a strong believer in continuous improvement.
  • Marketing, branding, storytelling. My expertise is at the high level and includes understanding what customers want and need. I’m extremely good at messaging and slogans. I’m very good at consistency and branding cohesion. And of course, my expertise lies in storytelling. I’ve helped design logos. Again, I am not a graphic designer.

Curious? Questions? Email me at [email protected], and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
